"I joined The Northwood Club in September 2015 after moving to Collingwood. I have always been fairly active but had never used a personal trainer before. I enrolled in The Northwood Club’s training program as I had been doing the same fitness routine for quite a few years and felt I had plateaued and was constantly chasing the last 5 pounds. My prior routine was mainly cardio with some weight training. When I met Luke McMillan and discussed my goals he changed my routine to be mainly weight training and some cardio. I really enjoy working with Luke. He is extremely pleasant and positive. He does challenge me though to do more than I think I can do but I never feel defeated. I used to have problems with my back while working out but Luke has adapted my routines so I no longer feel any pain in my back while exercising. In 4 months, I lost 8 pounds, 6% body fat, could do significantly more push-ups and ran faster. I would not have been able to meet my fitness goals without The Northwood Club and Luke’s guidance."

"I have been a member at The Northwood Club for over two years now and really enjoy the facilities and classes it has to offer. At first I just participated in the various classes, mostly yoga and Pilates, and didn't engage a personal trainer mainly because of the expense and an experience I had had at another club. However I was struggling with a couple of sports injuries, including a damaged rotator cuff, and decided that if I wanted to continue to play tennis (my favourite sport) I had to get stronger. I was assigned to Luke McMillan and signed up for a significant number of sessions. I am glad that I made that commitment and am happy that Luke's care and understanding has enabled me to establish a routine that has made weight training a vital part of my .life. He challenges me but always with concern for my safety. I am now confident to utilize the equipment and work out on my own, but find a weekly session with Luke keeps me on track. He is immensely knowledgeable and regularly adjusts the program to keep it interesting. I feel I have built up my strength to enable me to continue to do the things I love. "
